FLYING P RECORDS’ & DIGITOUR MEDIA’S INAUGURAL RELEASE—THE DIGITOUR 2012 COMPILATION—SHOWCASES YOUTUBE MEGA MUSIC STARS
Digital release featuring exclusive tracks from pop culture phenoms is being released March 13th to support second annual North American tour kicking off March 7th

Orange County, CA (March 5, 2012)—Indie label Flying P Records, in conjunction with DigiTour Media LLC, announces the launch of its inaugural release on March 13: the official DigiTour 2012 compilation. This collection accompanies the second annual DigiTour—a large-scale music tour featuring some of the biggest self-made YouTube stars is back for Spring 2012. This year’s stellar lineup includes the Internet’s most popular musicians and personalities who have a combined two billion views and 10 million subscribed fans. DigiTour 2012 commences in Los Angeles on March 7 and offers these YouTube stars the chance to perform and connect with their fans in cities across the United States and Canada, including Las Vegas, Oakland, Tempe, Houston, Dallas, Orlando, Baltimore, New York, Cambridge, Cleveland, Chicago, and Toronto.

The compilation is comprised of selective tracks from 12 of the touring artists—Dave Days, DeStorm, Alex Goot, Key of Awesome, Tiffany Jo Allen, Janick Amasic, Allen Cruz, Jessica Frech, and Nick Pitera—as well as three breakout artists: Wellington, Asher Monroe Booboo Stewart (of Booboo and Fivel). Asher Monroe has appeared on screens both big and small as one of the stars of the 2009 Fame film remake, and as a recurring character in 2010 on NBC’s hit TV comedy Parenthood. Booboo Stewart is among the stellar cast of the last two installments of the Twilight series, as Seth Clearwater in both Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. And Wellington’s single from the DigiTour compilation, “One More Time,” is featured in a new national BlackBerry commercial. The DigiTour 2012 compilation album is the creation of executive producers Meridith Valiando and Chris Rojas of Greenhouse Entertainment and The DigiTour, Joe Bilotta of Flying P Records, and producers Jonathan Platt and Jonathan McHugh. It has worldwide US digital distribution through IODA/Spindle/RED Distribution, a division of Sony Music Entertainment, and is also available for purchase at each DigiTour show.

“This music compilation is something we've wanted to do since the tour was conceived,” said DigiTour co-founder/producer Valiando. “All of these YouTube mega stars have proven they can translate their views into sales and their direct-to-fan relationship has created a whole new level of loyalty. Putting the ‘greatest hits’ of these pop culture phenoms together in one soundtrack is going to provide a definitive playlist, the Now That's What I Call Music for YouTube."

“Flying P Records is thrilled to have the opportunity to partner with an innovative tour focusing on homegrown talent from all over the country,” offered Flying P Records’ Bilotta. “These artists are creating songs virtually in their homes and living rooms, and attracting millions of fans via the Internet and YouTube. This is an album that deserves to be heard and released throughout the world.”
